A band spokesman commented, “The band were delighted to be asked to both these upcoming events. Hymn playing is a great tradition in brass bands and there are some fine settings of modern and traditional hymns which we look forward to playing in the lovely setting of St. Wifrids Church. It’s also great to celebrate our joint mining heritage with Eastwood Collieries Male Voice Choir and demonstrate how we’re making that history of music making relevant to the twenty-first century.”
