Newstead Brass make their only public appearance of the month with a FREE concert at Nottingham’s Arboretum bandstand this Sunday Afternoon, June 11th 2017, playing from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.
The arboretum bandstand is regarded as one of the finest in the region and is accessible by car or public transport, with the High School tram stop close to the park entrance.
A spokesperson said, “We’re looking forward to this concert giving an audience the chance to hear one of the regions finest bands for free as part of Nottingham City Council’s bands in the parks programme. We were very well received by the audience two years ago at the Victoria Embankment and we’re hoping for good weather and a good crowd again this Sunday.”
With multi-talented musical director John Davis engaged in a sporting event, they band will be led by the experienced conductor and teacher Garry Sleath on this occasion.
Newstead Brass and John Davis will then be preparing for July which includes a Picnic in the Park at Nottingham University (July 9th), the International Byron Festival (July 14th) and the Ripley Music Festival (July 15th)
