Lockwood’s Summer Prom
It’s ‘Pea’ for Proms as Ambergate based mushy pea manufacturers Lockwoods sponsor
the ‘Lockwoods Summer Prom’ at the annual Ripley Music Festival in Crossley Park,
Ripley on Saturday July 19th from 7.30 pm. The FREE event will feature Newstead
Brass and ‘Blue Wave’, a traditional jazz group. Alongside a special concert programme
Newstead Brass will also be providing live accompaniment to the ‘Firework Finale’
featuring John Williams’ film music from ‘Indiana Jones’ series. See poster for

Bold as Brass
Players from Newstead Brass & Newstead Abbey Brass will combine for an afternoon concert on Sunday July 20th at 2.30pm on the Leisure Green in Draycott, (off New Street from the main A6005, Derby Road, postcode DE72 3NJ). The concert forms part of the Summer season of FREE events organised by Draycott Parish Council and Erewash Borough Council.
